DARIYA AFANASEVA (b.1982)

My main trends and styles are: Abstract Art, Abstract Expressionism, Minimalism, Pop Art and Expressionism. And my own mix of these styles.

I work with the themes of the passing time, loneliness, mountain, peaks, birds, fish, drinks, industrial, sensual, refined, fleshly and erotic.

Education:

1999 - 2005 I graduated Rostov State Academy of Architecture and Art (Faculty of Arts)

2003 - 2006 Summer courses in Central Saint Martins - UAL - University of the Arts London (UK) such as: Mixed media painting, textile design, interior design and photography.

INTROSPECTIVE - Exhibition ran: Tuesday 21st - Sunday 26th August 2018 (Bath, Somerset, UK)

INTROSPECTIVE is an exhibition arranged by Jimmy Galvin, Bristol based autodidact Artist, Composer and Curator, whose work has been exhibited alongside many leading artists including Sir Peter Blake, Damien Hirst, Howard Hodgkin, Julian Opie, Banksy and the Chapman Brothers.

Accompanied by Ryoko Minamatani from Japan and Dariya Afanaseva from Russia, this much anticipated free admission exhibition was open at 44AD artspace in central Bath from 21 - 26 August 2018.
