The founders of the gallery - collectors Mikhail Openheim and Lucine Petrosyan - are interested in studying both the role of history in the work of authors and the role of artists in creating history itself. Hence the name of the gallery.

In the gallery's exposition, you can see works by Russian and foreign authors working in various directions, techniques and genres, artists of different eras and destinies.

The gallery holds both large group expositions of contemporary art and solo exhibitions of artists. The rich exhibition program, involving works from large private collections and museum collections, is accompanied by educational events: lectures, seminars, master classes, film screenings.
